Jane Mack

About Jane Mack

A fierce, power-hitting competitor on the golf course, Jane Mack demonstrated a gentler side as an art teacher in Henrico County for 37 years. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in art from Queens University in Charlotte and later earned a Master of Fine Arts in painting from VCU. In 1971, she was honored as Richmond’s “Undiscovered Artist of the Year.”

She also made quite a name for herself as a player, having learned the game at Willow Oaks Country Club before moving to Hermitage Country Club, where she found great success on the local and statewide scene.

Crowning Moment…

Mack is the only player to win the VSGA Women’s Amateur Championship in three different decades – 1970s, 1980s, 1990s.
