Recognizing excellence. Honoring heritage.
Welcome to the virtual home of the Virginia Golf Hall of Fame, which recognizes those who have given so much to the game of golf in Virginia, both on the course and off.
A vision of former Virginia State Golf Association President Gib Palmer, the Virginia Golf Hall of Fame became a reality in June 2015. Though the induction of the Inaugural Class didn’t take place until nearly 11 months later, the seeds for a virtual home honoring Virginia’s golf heritage and excellence were sown long before then.
Through extensive behind-the-scenes work and collaborations with allied organizations like the Middle Atlantic Section of the PGA, the Virginia Golf Hall of Fame became a reality. The first class honors legends of playing, teaching, professionalism and Rules of Golf knowledge. The induction of the Inaugural Class will spur on a new tradition: Honoring the rich history of golf in the Commonwealth on a yearly basis, with new honorees and a chance to celebrate tremendous memories while looking toward the future.
Said Palmer: “We want this to be a vibrant, great place to go to celebrate the history of golf in Virginia.”
Enjoy the tour.
